Hi Reader, Have you ever been told your anxiety or panic attacks are "just in your head" because your thyroid labs came back "normal"? I need to share something important with you today that might just validate everything you've been feeling. A groundbreaking study presented at the European and International Conference on Obesity recently caught my attention, and honestly? It made me want to stand up and shout "I KNEW IT!" from the rooftops. Here's what the researchers discovered: Even when thyroid hormone levels appeared "normal" (we'll get to those problematic wide ranges in another email ), In fact, when they looked closer using ultrasound, they found increased blood flow indicating inflammation in 71 out of 76 patients struggling with panic attacks and anxiety. Let that sink in for a moment. You're not imagining things. You're not "just anxious." There could be a very real, physical explanation for what you're experiencing. Here's what makes this so fascinating (and frankly, a bit frustrating): Many of us have been to doctors who look at our TSH, and T4 levels [if we are lucky], see they're within those wide "normal" ranges, and immediately dismiss our thyroid as a potential cause of our mental health struggles, anxiety or panic attacks. {I personally spent years struggling with anxiety and depression and no-one even mentioned my clearly swollen thyroid} Instead, we often end up with prescriptions for anti-anxiety medications or antidepressants, without anyone looking deeper at what's really going on. But here's where it gets really interesting... In the study, when researchers treated patients with anti-inflammatory medication and thyroxine for just 14 days, both the thyroid inflammation AND anxiety symptoms improved. This suggests what many of us in the thyroid community have suspected all along: our endocrine system plays a crucial role in our mental health. What Can You Do About This?
The bigger picture here? Your body and mind are connected in complex ways, and you deserve healthcare providers who understand this. Sometimes the answer isn't another prescription for anxiety meds – it's looking deeper at the root cause. Remember: You know your body better than anyone else. If something feels off, keep pushing for answers. You're not alone in this journey, and you're definitely not imagining things. Stay strong and keep advocating for yourself, P.S. If you found this helpful, would you do me a favor and forward it to someone else who might need to hear this today? Sometimes the simple act of sharing can help someone feel less alone in their journey. 💕 Join the FREE Facebook Hypothyroid & Hashimotos Support Community here. If you're anything like me, your mind probably immediately goes to all the "off-limits" foods – pasta, bread, and more pasta! Italian isn't known as being the most gluten free of cuisines. Right? As someone with...

Hi Reader, Can we talk about those moments when you realize something HAS to change? I want to share a deeply personal story with you – one that literally transformed my health journey. It's about the day I did something I never thought I'd do after 32 years of being a committed vegetarian... Picture this: I was at rock bottom with my health. I'd had 10 years of undiagnosed Hypothyroidism leading to Thyroid cancer. Even after my thyroid was removed and I was on 100% thyroid medication, things...
