What I’d tell you if we were sitting face to face

If I could sit beside you right now...

Dear friend,

Maybe you’ve just walked out of the doctor’s office.
Still reeling.
Still trying to make sense of what you’ve been told.

Maybe the words “hypothyroidism” or “Hashimoto’s” are echoing in your head...
And with them, a quiet but heavy sentence:

“This is your new normal.”

Let me stop you right there.

Because I need you to know something, and I need you to hear it in your bones:

You do not have to accept feeling like this.
You
do not have to accept the weight gain, the crushing fatigue, the sense of losing yourself.

And you certainly don’t have to accept that this is just “how it’s going to be from now on.”

What I wish someone had told me...

When I was first diagnosed, I was shocked too.
Confused.
A bit numb.
And desperately trying to make sense of it all.

What I wish someone had whispered to me then is what I want to whisper to you now:

“You can get your life back.
You
can feel like yourself again.
But you’re going to have to fight for it.”

Not with brute force.
But with knowledge. With curiosity. With a quiet refusal to settle.

Because here’s the honest truth:
Most doctors (especially here in the UK) aren’t trained to treat hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s in a way that gets you feeling truly well.

They might give you a prescription and send you on your way.

But real recovery? Real vitality?

That’s something you’re going to have to take into your own hands.

The good news?

You already have what it takes.
You know your body better than anyone else.
And you are not broken.
You are not lazy.
You are not making this up.

You’re simply being called to rise.
To step into the role of the hero in your own story.
To gather knowledge, tune into your body, and chart your own path forward—with support, not surrender.

What I’m doing to help

I’m writing the book that I wish I’d had when I was first diagnosed.

Something to spare you the endless late-night Googling.
Something to help you feel empowered, not overwhelmed.

Because this is possible for you.
You can feel vibrant again.
You can live fully again.

And I’ll be here, every step of the way, to show you how.

Would you help me shape this book?

Hit reply and tell me:

👉
What do you wish someone had told you when you were first diagnosed?
👉 What support or info would have made all the difference back then?

Your story matters—and your experience could help shape something truly life-changing for others walking this same path.

I would love to hear from you. Just hit reply.

Always Remember

  • You’re allowed to question what you’ve been told.
  • You do have the power to feel well again.
  • You may have to fight—but you’re not fighting alone.

You are the person you’ve been waiting for.
And you don’t have to settle for anything less than vibrant, joyful health.

With love,

The Power of Finding Your Thyroid Tribe Hey there, I wanted to share something deeply personal with you today. When I was really, really ill with hypothyroidism and thyroid cancer, I found myself in a truly dark place. Both mentally and physically, I was struggling in ways that felt impossible to describe. I remember asking my MacMillan nurse about support groups. There were groups for all kinds of conditions—cancer support circles, chronic illness meetups—but when I asked about one...

Hi Beautiful. Why an Indian Takeaway Might Be the Perfect Hypothyroid-Friendly Meal I had the most delicious dinner out with my husband last night—our favourite Indian restaurant, all warm lighting and comforting smells. And as I sat there, tucking into my lamb chole malabar, I couldn’t help thinking… We’ve been sold such a narrow definition of “healthy,” haven’t we? The Myth: Takeaways Are Always Unhealthy So many women I work with feel guilt around ordering in or going out to eat....

Hi I want to share a story today that might just change everything you believe about thyroid health. I want to talk about this now as I often see people online repeating this myth about Hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's… “There's nothing you can do. This is a lifelong condition. You just have to accept it” Your Doctor may even have said this to you… That no diet or lifestyle changes will do anything to improve your symptoms. That you just have to accept feeling exhausted, foggy, and unwell....
