I didn’t realise until everything stopped...

Hi Reader,

The Wish We Don’t Make Until It’s Too Late

You know that quote -

“A healthy woman has a thousand wishes, but a sick woman has only one.”

I never truly felt the weight of that until these past two weeks.

I caught what I thought was just a really rough flu...

But it developed into full-blown vertigo. I couldn’t sit up, look at a screen, or even think straight. I felt sick, dizzy, and completely drained.

And I've had thyroid cancer in the past, so anything that knocks me off my feet hits a little harder.

When Health Goes, Everything Else Follows

😔 I couldn’t look after my kids properly.
😔 I missed family meals.
😔 And on my birthday? I lay in bed, too unwell to celebrate the evening we’d planned.

I couldn’t work either - and when you work for yourself, that means no income. 😢

All of it-gone in a flash.
And it made one thing painfully clear...

You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup

I’d been pushing too hard, doing too much, ignoring the signs.

Doing what we all do-running on fumes, putting everyone else first, telling ourselves we’ll rest “later.”

But here’s the truth: if you’ve got hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s, you can’t afford to put your health on the back burner. Your immune system’s already working overtime.

And when you stack stress, poor sleep, and zero self-care on top?

You’re wide open to crashing.

Let This Be Your Gentle Wake-Up Call

This month, inside my private hypothyroid community, we’re doing something simple but powerful.

A FREE Advent Calendar Challenge.

One small, doable action every day to care for yourself in the run-up to Christmas - so you don’t end the year feeling frazzled, flaring, and fed up.

...plus the support of women who get it!

It’s a way to stay grounded, calm, and cared for during the most hectic time of year.

Because when your health is strong, everything else flows from there.

Hi Reader, Tomorrow we kick off something really special - and it’s completely free to join. It’s our Thyroid-Friendly Advent Calendar Challenge, created to help you get through December feeling calmer, steadier, and far less overwhelmed. Because let’s be honest… the run-up to Christmas can be brutal when you’re already dealing with fatigue, stress, brain fog, or that constant “pushing through” feeling. Many of us ended last Christmas absolutely wiped out - drained, puffy, stressed, and...

Hello Reader, You might’ve seen the news - the UK government’s launching a new obesity project in Scotland. They’re funding weight loss injections for thousands of people, mostly in the poorest areas. Now, before I go any further, let me say this: I’m not against weight loss injections. For some, they can be absolutely life-changing. ❤️ But here’s what’s being completely missed. If proper thyroid testing were funded first, so many of those people wouldn’t even need weight-loss treatment at...

Hello Reader, I want to talk about a kind of tiredness that words don’t really cover. The kind that seeps into your bones. The kind that makes even walking up the stairs feel like climbing a mountain. When my hypothyroidism first really kicked off after having my children, that’s what it was like. Looking back, I think it started much earlier, maybe after glandular fever in my teens, but pregnancy was what tipped it over the edge. I remember standing halfway up the stairs, two little kids in...
