Hi Reader,

The Wish We Don’t Make Until It’s Too Late

You know that quote -

“A healthy woman has a thousand wishes, but a sick woman has only one.”

I never truly felt the weight of that until these past two weeks.

I caught what I thought was just a really rough flu...

But it developed into full-blown vertigo. I couldn’t sit up, look at a screen, or even think straight. I felt sick, dizzy, and completely drained.

And I've had thyroid cancer in the past, so anything that knocks me off my feet hits a little harder.

When Health Goes, Everything Else Follows

😔 I couldn’t look after my kids properly.
😔 I missed family meals.
😔 And on my birthday? I lay in bed, too unwell to celebrate the evening we’d planned.

I couldn’t work either - and when you work for yourself, that means no income. 😢

All of it-gone in a flash.
And it made one thing painfully clear...

You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup

I’d been pushing too hard, doing too much, ignoring the signs.

Doing what we all do-running on fumes, putting everyone else first, telling ourselves we’ll rest “later.”

But here’s the truth: if you’ve got hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s, you can’t afford to put your health on the back burner. Your immune system’s already working overtime.

And when you stack stress, poor sleep, and zero self-care on top?

You’re wide open to crashing.

Let This Be Your Gentle Wake-Up Call

This month, inside my private hypothyroid community, we’re doing something simple but powerful.

A FREE Advent Calendar Challenge.

One small, doable action every day to care for yourself in the run-up to Christmas - so you don’t end the year feeling frazzled, flaring, and fed up.

...plus the support of women who get it!

It’s a way to stay grounded, calm, and cared for during the most hectic time of year.

Because when your health is strong, everything else flows from there.

Hi Reader, Sometimes antibiotics are necessary. But if you’re dealing with hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s, what happens after antibiotics can matter just as much. Many women with thyroid issues already struggle with things like: • bloating• SIBO• food sensitivities• fatigue that just won’t shift• inflammation that feels difficult to explain And very often, a lot of this traces back to the gut. Antibiotics can be incredibly useful when we truly need them. But they don’t just target the bacteria...

Ultra Processed foods and the thyroid.

Hi Reader, Ever feel like food has power over you? You’re not alone. If you’ve ever tried to eat more healthily, lose weight, or “just cut back”—and found yourself elbow-deep in a bag of crisps before you even realised what was happening—this is for you. I recently came across an article in The Guardian that stopped me in my tracks. It finally said out loud what so many of us have felt for years: “I feel addicted to this stuff… I used to smoke cigarettes, now I have the same habit but with...

Hi Reader, The Weight We Carry (That No One Sees) Let’s talk about something that most women have done their entire lives - without a thank you, without a paycheck, and often without even realising it: Emotional labor. It’s the invisible job of managing everyone else’s feelings. It’s smiling when you're seething inside.Soothing tensions before they erupt.Keeping family connections alive. Not because someone asked you to -but because that’s what women do.We’re taught to be the peacemakers. The...
